Scrappies

Thank you for all the suggestions on the wraps!! Definitely narrowing down the list of options!

Have some scrappies to share... OLW and LUXE stuff.

Our next word went up yesterday at OLW.

Amazingly generous sponsor, MAMBI. Such great stuff!!! It's fun playing w/it now b/c that is what I started out using when I was in highschool so it's fun to play with the products again b/c they have changed SO much!

Begentle

My sweet Rhi. I love her and miss her so.

And a LUXE layout... my lil Harley Man. He won't be the baby much longer! The frame is one of LUXE's new releases! So fun!

I had a 1/2 day yesterday and Josh and I went and did some lil shopping and looking at all the fun baby stuff...and we snapped a few photos. During this time, we will be taking LOTS of photos of this whole process...*Old Navy*

Ya, we bought the lil onsies and the shoes... both are pretty gender generic. Our first lil baby purchases. I know it's early and ppl are probably going... what is she doing buying things so soon... well...so what. Sorry. Im a tad moody this morning. Those mood swings are SO not fun. We are just so excited.

I'm still feeling ok. Just tired... moody... a lil uneasy stomach in the morning. Having a hard time getting my yogurt w/granola and strawberries down. Any other suggestions for breakfasts? I can't drink milk so I don't eat cereal much. Im thinking Im going to try some wheat bagels w/peanut butter (high in protein) and some fruit for breakfast. Eggs make me wanna vomit so please... don't suggest eggs. The smell of syrup this morning in Josh's oatmeal was disgusting me... so probably not pancakes but we will see... right now.. that sounds kinda good... Im hungry. I need to eat my nectarine.

I take lots of snacks to work. I eat a piece of fruit around 9:30-10 am, then lunch at 12 or so, then peanut butter crackers at like 2 and then dinner at 5-6 and some more fruit scattered throughout the day too. Grapes are my recent fave... and blueberries... oh and PINEAPPLE! And add some trail mix in there too. Im eating basically the way I've always eating just a lil more fruits than I used to... which I'm loving so much!

Well, back to work.

Oh... in the midst of all the baby madness, I still have yet to get some photos from CHA to share but I snagged this one from Kimberly Garofolo's blog. I just love this girl so much. We could've talked for like.. days on end. And Of course, we hung out in the most fabulous booth and I just loved every bit and piece in this place... I just want it all!

  3. Bread totally helped me with morning sickies. Like toast, english muffins, bagels ... sometimes with butter but mostly just dry. Good luck!
My BFF is 3 months along, and I've been shopping for baby goodies since the day she found out - it's just too hard not to! :)

  8. I know! Isn't is soo hard not to buy everything when you go in those stores?? It's so fun to window shop! I'll tell you too that it is the best stress reliever. When I'm having a rotten evening, hubby packs me up in the car and off we go to walk around Target to just look at baby stuff. :) Let's see breakfast...yes it was super hard for me the first couple of weeks to eat anything but fruit and yogurt with a smidge of granola...but now I love eggo toaster waffles...also a piece of wheat bread toast with peanut butter and sliced bananas is yummy...

don't let anyone tell you it is too early to be exicted, or talk about the baby...or shop...
There is nine months for a reason..they are for preparation...and this is all part of it ...

  12. hey sweetie! i am 19 weeks now and pretty much spent the first 14 weeks in the worst *green* state ever.
    SMOOTHIES! they were my lifesaver.
mix:oj, a banana, fruits of choice, and lowfat yogurt. i also mix in flax seeds for extra fiber, and honey makes it so yummy!!
let me know if you want some recipes. its kinda like breakfast in a glass! ;) and portable too! woohoo!
yea for baby purchases!! if it makes you happy that's what counts right?

  13. Those are the cutest little baby clothes!! :) Old Navy definitely has the best baby boy clothes, ever!
I'm no help with the food thing...because I'm having HORRIBLE morning sickness, that isn't ending until after midnight. :( I haven't been able to keep anything down lately.
    It's worth it though! :)

  14. Embarrassing Confession:
I bought some cute little shoes I found for a baby girl back when I was 19...yes! it's true. I saved those littel shoes for almost 10 years. And when I had my daugther Ella she totally wore them and I lvoed it! So your purchasing today...nothin!
I was sick as a dog with both of my pregnancies, but you've totally got the right idea. Small doses of protein often will keep you feeling less queazy. I carried granola bars and graham crakers with me at all times, because you'll find sickness comes on quickly.
I also adore Kimberly G. Met her at last CHA and loved her from the start!

  16. my morning smoothie is pretty high in protien . . . 1 cup rice or almond milk, 1/2 (or so) of coconut milk, berries (frozen or fresh. if you use fresh, throw in a few ice cubes. no need if you use frozen). often, i add a handful of unsalted nuts like raw or roasted almonds.
can you eat ANY dairy? if so, i have a great recipe for cottage cheese pancakes with blueberries. PM me if you are interested. sound disgusting, taste amazing! ;)
    have fun!!!!

  20. in the first trimester (especially if you are sick) load up on those carbs and protein! for the first month and a half i lived on sourdough toast and peanut butter covered saltines - it was all i could keep down. your doctor will probably tell you this but don't stress too much about your nutrition if you are queasy these first few months. if you are taking your prenatals and eating ANYTHING, you'll be fine. better that you eat a handful of grapes and a loaf of bread than try to eat stuff that makes you feel queasy and throw it all up. or at least, that's what my doctor told me!
hope your morning sickness doesn't get TOO bad - there's light at the end of the tunnel, i promise!

  22. Not sure how long ago I discovered your blog, but wanted you to know that I'm a reader! I can't wait to see your baby layouts! And yeah that Kimmy is somethin'. Funny what a small world it is - she and I used to be NEXT DOOR neighbors but it wasn't until we were 1000 miles apart that I discovered the joy of scrapping! Anyway, just a note to let you know that I'm a fan of your work and congrats on the new soon to be baby!

I just had my third baby (a girl this time)! My sickness miracles were... a good protein in the morning. Eggs were best. Nice and simple without a lot of other stuff that I couldn't handle. Also, I know you've heard ginger(that worked okay for me. I would buy crystalized ginger and just suck on that), but not so known is anise. You can steep it to make a tea or some types of black licorice have anise oil in them. Of course that was my favorite way to get it! Hope you find what works for you! Oh yeah, CONGRATS!
