4 Weeks

So here we are at 4 Weeks!
She's getting so big!
She has offically outgrown the newborn onsies that are 5-8 lbs...
I couldn't get it over her head today...
And she is in a new onsie that didn't fit her before!
So excited to see her grow!!
That is her crib blanket behind her in the first photo.
That lil smirk is cracking me up!

She's even getting some lil kissable cheeks!

So it's offical.
I am a WAHM!
I put in my resignation at the bank.
My HR was so very supportive and encouraging.
Definitely blessed to have worked with a great bank and have amazing supportive co-workers.
Im excited about this new venture w/my baby girl!
We are so blessed that we are able to do this for our family.
So Im keeping myself busy with things I can do from home.
Teaching classes & Ulmer Studios!

The nights are still pretty unpredictable...
Sometimes she sleeps soundly for 3-4 hours... sometimes she cries after 2 hours and I get up and nurse and then she has a hard time falling back asleep.
Im doing everything they say about keeping the contact minimal at night... no talking... no changing if it's not necessary and no lights...
Its just going to take time now.
Hopefully it's going to get better soon.

But our days are good...
She's awake a lot more...
and
we are trying to get some good interaction during the day.
Not too much though.
Oh!
And she got her Social Security Card this week!
I said to Josh...
"Hunny, she's a real person now!"
He laughed...
I said..
"Well, I mean... Uncle Sam knows she's a real person now!"
Well, g/g!
xo

  2. She is precious. So glad you get to stay at home! That is wonderful! My friend has her baby sleeping through the night at 2 weeks. She focuses on feeding him every 3 hours no matter if he is asleep awake or crying. He always eats and then she gives him a large feeding right before bed and his tummy is full for 7 hours. Seems to be working great for her. SHe says its about scheduling. I'm sure every baby is different. Hope that gets easier. She sure is a cutie!

  3. What a cutie!
Don't get frustrated about the sleeping. It will come. I found that with my first (who was BF) it took him longer. My second is bottle fed (long story) and she's been sleeping through the night for quite some time. Maybe it's the type of milk they got, maybe it's not. One's a boy, one's a girl. Who knows. Each baby is different....just be consistent with what you do. It's all you can do.
Have fun being a WAHM :)

She is so beautiful. It is amazing how fast they grow. I am looking at Sylvie and she is still all scrunched up and we have hardly seen her eyes. She just sleeps and eats! I look at the pictures of Josie just 4 weeks into life and wow, she is so alert. I am so happy that things are going so well for you!
