Self Portraits...

I think self portraits are very important.

I do not think they are "selfish".

I think documenting your own life in photographs is very important to the soul.

I have not taken any self portraits during my pregnancy.

I think I just haven't felt like being in front of the camera.

But now really looking pregnant and feeling Josephine wiggling around so much in my belly has really made me feel beautiful. Truly beautiful. The kind of beauty that God intended a woman to feel.

So here is a lil self portrait from yesterday.

Embracing pregnancy has been incredible for my heart & soul.

I hope to take more self portrait through out the next 12 weeks.

So I challenge you to take some self portraits...

Embrace your beauty. Embrace being a woman.

And one more lil fun self portrait..

I can't believe she only has 12 more weeks in my belly.

I know Im going to miss it.

But being able to hold her is going to make it so much more incredible.

I posted a lil more maternity session photos from our session w/the Bunch family at

  2. I am so glad you are enjoying your pregnancy, it reminds me that pregnancy can be good. I really did enjoy my first two. This time around I have been miserable and grumpy from the get go! The thought of 13 more weeks is killing me!! I just want the sweet little baby girl at the end. Oh we have a name: Sylvia Grace....we are going to call her Sylvie. She is named after my maternal grandmother. Have fun. I have yet to take a single picture of my pregnant self!! Need to take your challenge.

  7. This post was just what I needed to hear. I'm 24 weeks along... and I've been feeling sort of frumpy this past month. But you are totally right. Inside my heart I feel exceptionally beautiful. I love how you said: 'The kind of beauty that God intended a woman to feel.' I understand that!!! I do.
*I take this challenge! In fact, I can't wait. Thanks for taking the time to share with us. All the best to you and Miss Josie...
